Japan Weather Condition
Japan’s climate varies as you move FROM north to south. Winter can become very cold in the north island of Hokkaido, while the temperatures remain cool around Tokyo on Honshu and a little warmer on Kyushu.
Fall begins in September, with its characteristic golden hues and mild weather. FROM December on, winter can bring snow to various areas with severe temperatures in the extreme north, while central Japan can be described as “crisp.” Spring is usually considered the best time to visit Japan - a time for many pink blossoms and for celebrations. Summer begins in June with a three-week-long rainy period; it then becoming hot and humid in the south but tends to be cooler and drier in the north closer to the mountains.
